Globally, the productivity of countries with higher and medium technological industries has returned to pre-pandemic levels, while those with lower-tech industries are still struggling to recover. A key component of economic recovery and development relates to the access of inclusive good-quality higher education, resulting in a more dynamic and equitable society-United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal for quality education [1, 2]. Regrettably, the COVID-19 pandemic has scuppered the previous educational progression achieved in sub-Saharan Africa and many other regions. These barriers can be overcome by offering quality digital education to help to re-establish a sense of normality to the effected communities.
