    Description

We present a numerical method for detecting perfectly conducting objects in a homogeneous medium in 3D. The method is based on minimizing an objective function that depends on Cauchy data given on the surface of a sensor, near which the conducting objects are located. The objective function is derived from Green's second identity with the fundamental solution of the three-dimensional Laplacian. The functional has linear and nonlinear parts, which is utilized in the minimization.
