Description
Are your extruded 3D prints not maintaining their shapes after printing? Is it a challenge to place the cross-linking bath on a moving platform of your bioprinter? Our team at Tampere University has the solution. Try adding the crosslinker into your bioink and extrude your multi-layered structures onto a cold stage. We used native nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) and CaCl2 as the crosslinking agent. The structural stability improved as the temperature of the in situ cold stage is decreased from 25°C to -10°C.
