Her research interests focus on 'technified species of spacios': on the interplay between technological developments and architectural design. One area of her research delves into  the relationship between the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and the built environment; currently, within the frame of demographic change scenarios. In this regard, her present work includes the interdisciplinary projects: SocialBlock and AIsola. These two-year projects study architectural and urban design strategies and ICTs interventions for social loneliness alleviation. These investigations are funded by the Intelligent Society platform at TAU and by the Academy of Finland. Another area of her expertise is the technological and cultural history of building materials seen from the architectural design perspective. Her current research in this realm is framed within the climate change scenarios, working in the project Build4Clima, which aims to envision new perspectives for healthier and circular carbon positive buildings. Her previous work was on glass and light interacting technologies in architecture. Other research and teaching fields of her interest are landscape architecture and cinema art direction.

Her research has been published in scientific journals and books; has been exhibited in important venues, such as the Venice Architecture Biennale; and has received recognitions, like the First Honourable Mention at the XII biennial competition arquia/tesis 2019 and the UPM PhD Extraordinary Prize 2015-16. Previously, She has been researcher at  the GSAPP in New York, for the 'Columbia University Conferences on Architecture, Engineering and Materials'. In addition, she has taught at various architecture schools in Madrid, including ETSAM UPM, and Camilo José Cela University; Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp (Belgium); the University of Liverpool (UK); and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville (USA). Likewise, she has extensive practice experience: as Technical Office Head, for the Building Company NECSO, in Spain; and as a collaborator in various architecture firms, including architect Carlos Puente studio. Since  2002, she has worked independently as well, having been awarded nationally and internationally in various occasions.
