    Abstract

    We report a narrow-linewidth (Deltalambda = 0.4 nm) optical pulsed MOPA (master oscillator - power amplifier) source emitting 0.41 mJ pulses (1.5 kW peak power) in the eye-safe range (lambda = 1548 nm). Pulse duration and repetition rate were 90 ns and 5 kHz respectively.
