Abstract

Nyt on aika juhlia historiantutkijoiden kansainvälistä yhteistyötä! Historioitsijoiden maailmanjärjestö Comité International des Sciences Historiques (CISH) – International Committee of Historical Sciences (ICHS) perustettiin Genevessä sata vuotta sitten, toukokuussa 1926, yhdistämään historioitsijoita ympäri maailmaa. Järjestö juhlii merkkivuottaan samoin kuin se on toiminut koko satavuotisen historiansa ajan: vaalien määrätietoisesti historioitsijoiden ylirajaista yhteistyötä ja samalla haavoittuvana maailmanpoliittisille jännitteille. Jatkuvuuden rinnalla juhlavuosi tuo kuitenkin mukanaan myös tärkeitä uudistuksia.
