The Dictionary of Behavior Analysis is the only dictionary of behavior analysis in Finnish. It contains well over 1300 professional terms, conceptually explained in detail. These terms cover all areas of behavior analysis: Experimental, applied, conceptual, and clinical behavior analysis. In addition, general terms concerning research and scientific theories, as well as other international words needed in behaviour analysis, have been included. A more general explanation is given first and then more precise in explaining the terms. In connection with the explanation of terms, other related terms and concepts have often been referred to with many additional terms, which can also be found in the dictionary. The book also contains an English–Finnish glossary that can be used to find the Finnish equivalent of English words and, if necessary, to view a Finnish explanation of the term and concept. At the end of the book, the English abbreviations of key concepts are still listed. The book's explanations are so extensive that it could be used to some extent as a textbook for behavioral analysis. The book has also sought to enrich the Finnish language with certain new words and words that have been used in a slightly different context than before. The aim has been to promote the scientific Finnish language. Although the book is mainly intended for students of behaviour analysis, professionals trained in it, and researchers, it can also be useful for professionals in related fields.
