Abstract

Collective Imagination of Artists’ Housing in Harmony with Nature

A nurturing ground for living and making art? Balanced, sustainable everyday life sheltered by the forests of Mänttä? What happens when six architects – or spatial weavers – and one cultural gardener get together to envision a future of a residential area dedicated for artists? Gazing back from a hundred-year-ahead post-fossil-capitalist state, Mänttä Local History Museum 2125 presented the Pieskanranta area as a living soil for coexistence and creativity.
