Abstract

Current fire safety is the result of long-term development. Risks have changed over time and changing living conditions and operating environments have changed expectations of fire safety
level. The investigations of the fires that have taken place have contributed to the development of fire safety. How has fire safety improved with the development of regulation and what stages through which the current situation has been reached? Fire safety as a whole is based on multidisciplinary cooperation. The fire safety of buildings is affected by zoning, building regulations and various recommendations. Instructions and standards guide fire prevention technology.
