In this article, we will examine the occupational well-being of youth workers from the perspective of professional activity, utilizing practice architecture theory. In this theory, practice is understood as socially and historically shaped action framed by a set of prerequisites. We are interested in how these verbal, societal, economic, and cultural conditions delineate and produce well-being in work. The article is based on group discussions among youth workers, who discussed occupational well-being in youth work. The data were analyzed using practice architecture theory, categorizing the results into dimensions of saying, doing, and social relations. According to the analysis, these conditions have significant impacts on well-being at work. Perceived meaningfulness of work and a positive attitude towards youth and adolescence reinforce well-being. Conversely, factors such as ambiguity in work tasks and conflicting structural arrangements diminish well-being. The article points out to discussions around well-being at work should strengthen about issues related to working in the occupational that go beyond the individual organisation or employee. It also emphasizes how questions related to the societal status of youth work define the experience of well-being for youth workers.
