Research output: Book/ReportBookProfessional

Abstract

This guide provides research-based advice for multilocational work and particularly on how to conduct work interaction situations. Guide is for you, employee doing multilocational work, manager, consultant, supervisor, or person otherwise interested in multilocational work.

Widespread multilocational expert work is here to stay. Finland ranks among to top countries in remote working frequency. Many organisations currently seek the best practices on how to arrange multilocational work. Multilocational work affects both organizations and individuals and the long-term effects cannot be evaluated accurately at the moment.

When working multilocationally, especially interaction situations are affected. This guide provides information on how the situations differ when conducted face-to-face, online, or hybrid (some face-to-face, some online). How different encounters influence for example basic psychological needs satisfaction or learning?

This project is funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund and it is conducted in Tampere University.
