Abstract
We probe metasurfaces of L- and T-shaped gold nanoparticles by second-harmonic generation. The nonlinear radiation from such samples can be boosted through several mechanisms. Furthermore, for certain geometries, the detuning of the incident field polarization from the resonant direction can enhance the overall second-harmonic response.
