Abstract

This paper aims to present some possible approaches to a semiotics of toys, with a specific attention to the interpretative attitudes necessary for toy-play and the different forms of meaning production related to toys. This exploration builds on the several earlier works dedicated to establishing some semiotic features of toys and can be seen as a subset of a larger “ludosemiotics”
