In this second video from DECT World 2024 we hear from Dr Joonas Säe of Tampere University. Joonas was one of our presenters, talking about the Ultra Scalable Wireless Access (USWA) project. This studies how to best utilize the ETSI DECT-2020 new radio (NR) standard/DECT NR+ and related first products in various industrial use cases and what kind of enhancements are beneficial in the standard’s evolution towards 6G. The project focuses on using and further developing the technology for both massive machine type and ultra-reliable low latency communication.
