Key note talk at 2023 International Conference of School Environmental Education, arranged by Korean Educational Development Institute. In this presentation, I discussed environmental and sustainability education (ESE) situation and implementation in Finland and provided some ideas for possible future challenges and goals among the field. In addition, I presented a model for holistic climate change education (Cantell et al. 2019) as an example of a tool for conquering those challenges, and provided ideas of directions where ESE ought to be developed in the future.
