Tampere University of Technology research team, led by Professor Moncef Gabbouj, has won the 2nd place at the 17th annual Computing in Cardiology/PhysioNet Challenge 2016, in which 47 teams world-wide took part. Our team came on top of the University of Cambridge, UK, who were third, and slightly trailed the leading team and organizers, Philips Research North America, Cambridge MA. The work was carried out by our doctoral student Morteza Zabihi in collaboration with four countries (Finland, Norway, Qatar and USA).
