Abstract The presentation aims to address the fluid nature of the researcher’s positionality in a doctoral research project that relates to teaching and learning cultures in higher education. Organised as a dialogue with the article by Miriam et al. (2001), my presentation tries to unpack some of the thorny issues related to positionality, power, representation, interrelated with researcher’s onto-epistemological stance. The presentation aims to engage and invite others to reflect on these aspects in their own research projects.
