Tietoaineisto

Kuvaus

The data examines the experiences of people aged 75 and over regarding services and needs. The survey was conducted in Jyväskylä and Tampere. Previously, similar data was collected in 2010.

First, respondents were asked about their housing and their contact with their loved ones. They were then asked about the challenges they face in their daily lives, how they cope and who might help them in their daily lives. Respondents were also asked to rate the adequacy of the help and future developments. Respondents were also asked whether they regularly provided help or care to a loved one.

The next questions dealt with the state of social and health services. Respondents were asked to further assess the development of services. They were also asked which services they used and where they obtained the services they needed. Then, the survey asked the respondents for their views on the services provided by the public and private sectors. Respondents were also asked how well services met their needs and how they financed the services they needed. Finally, respondents' health status was assessed by asking about any illnesses, injuries and memory issues.

Background variables included gender, age, marital status, number of siblings, type of housing, household income and educational background.
