I am a biophysicist with training in signal processing and electrical engineering. My research has always been at the very interface between biology and physics, where I assume each of all dry-lab works, from creating imaging analysis toolboxes, statistical analysis to mathematical modeling. This allows me to be closely involved in the design of quantitative experiments while continuously expanding my computational and analytical repertoire.

The regulation of gene expression has been a major theme during my research. In Tampere University, I investigate the linkage between biophysical transduction pathways and genetic pathways to predict the tissue behaviors in both physiological and pathological contexts. Unveiling this linkage is currently challenging given that these two components are very diversed yet intertwining. However, it is promising in adressing many questions in developmental biology and medical science.
