Abstrakti
In recent years, alongside the adaptation green energy sources, emphasis on optimizing energy consumption has been growing. In the area of hydrostatic drive systems, the trend is reflected in the use of energy-saving drive, control components and systems. Innovative solutions such as electrification or hybridization of hydrostatic drives offer significant improvement in the performance characteristics of conventional machines. Current studies have demonstrated that existing traditional fully hydraulic systems are less efficient compared to innovative, purely electromechanical actuator (EMA) solutions or Variable Speed Fixed Displacement (VSFD) pump systems. Therefore, this paper compares a conventional drive system with an EMA-based system and a VSFD-based system, which were utilized to operate the same machine - a scissor lift. The aim of these studies is to compare the energy consumption of the tested systems for different loads. The verified mathematical models of the systems were used for simulation tests of the working cycle consisting of lifting the load to a specified height and lowering it to the starting point with different load masses.
