Abstrakti

Recognising the critical need for a tool that can identify any situation that increases the risk of relapse during dieting or weight management, the Questionnaire for Risk Situations for Over¬eating (QRS-O) has been developed. It targets explicitly high-risk situations for overeating, aiming to enhance awareness and self-knowledge and thereby prevent relapse and un¬successful coping. The aim of the current study was to investigate the reliability of the QRS-O. Middle-aged (M = 49.0 years, SD = 6.4), both slightly overweight and obese (BMI, M = 30.8, SD = 7.0) participants (N = 95) filled in the questionnaire on two occasions. We observed that both the internal consistency and the test-retest reliability were good (r = 0.80 or higher). The QRS-O is recommended as a tool both for non-clinical and clinical purposes.
