title = "Interventionist Researcher Facilitating Value Co-Creation: 'One of Us' or 'One of Them'",
abstract = "Interventionist research sees the researcher as an active, intervening participant in the investigated phenomena, enabling the researcher to acquire the status as {\textquoteleft}one of us{\textquoteright} in the organization. Supplier-customer dyads, however, place the researcher in a battlefield of diverging interests; acquiring the status as {\textquoteleft}one of us{\textquoteright} in one organization might result in becoming {\textquoteleft}one of them{\textquoteright} in the other. The paper reflects upon a three-year interventionist case study to theorize on the role of an interventionist researcher facilitating value co-creation for a new technology in customer-supplier dyads. The researcher will have to either (1) remain as the third party with limited access to both organizations, (2) choose a side with limited access to the other organization or (3) try to navigate between both sides. The study provides a taxonomy on the auditor, lawyer and mediator positions, providing guidelines for interventionist researcher interested in such interorganizational context. ",
