Multi-physics Co-simulation of an Electric Reach Truck

Abstrakti

On-board intelligent predictive maintenance tools to avoid sudden breakdown of components can increase the reliability of a system. It is often difficult to anticipate failure modes and to fabricate faults in an actual working system for the developing of condition monitoring. In this paper, a multi-physics co-simulation model of an electric reach truck is proposed as a tool for generating training data for AI based condition monitoring. The co-simulation is established using three different oftware platforms: Mevea for real-time multi-body dynamics and animation, AMESim for hydraulic components, and Simulink for control and electric drive model. The co-simulation model is successfully validated by comparing the simulation and measured data.
