Thiopyrans and Their Benzo Derivatives

The chemistry of thiopyrans and their benzo derivatives are covered. Studies on structural methods and elucidation of photochemical properties have been mentioned. Reactivity of six-membered S-containing heterocycles has been organized according to reaction types and modification of the atoms on the ring. The synthesis section was organized according to the type of heterocyclic systems obtained. The last section covers the use of the titled compounds in pharmaceutical, biological and material applications.
